Tire Size

I have a 2000 grand am and the tires it had on it when I bought it were 205 65R15. Now it needs new tires and I need to know if I can keep this same size tire on it. Thanks alot

Re: Tire Size

The tires sizes vary depending on whether you have an SE or GT model. The OEM for the SE was a 215 60R/15 and the GT model was a 225 50/R 16. I suggest that you get away from the 65 series and put the correct size back on the car. The 65 is a slightly taller tire than the 60 and shouldn't make a lot of difference but the 215-60 tire should improve your handling. If I were you I would go back to the OEM size when I bought new tires.
