My 1995 eclipse gs engine needs replacing. Would a gsx or some other turbo engine fit in it with out any problems?

Re: New Engine

I know you don't know this, but this question does get asked atleast once a week here on these boards. Please use the search feature in the future, as you will find this and perhaps many other questions you have may have been answered all ready.

But in answer to your question, No. The only engine that will fit in your car is a motor out of a GS/RS or some Neons with the 420a. (420A is the engine PN for your motor)

(Edited for stupidity)

Re: New Engine

Some Hyndais have the 420a? I know the 2.0 Avenger from like 95-98 does, but I was not aware that any Hyundais did.

Bah. Yeah I was thinking of the 420a but said the cars that the 4g63 comes in. What I meant to say was some NEONS have the 420a

Re: New Engine

Some Hyndai's had a 4g63, but none had a 420a to my knowledge.

This is true, but the neon 420a sits "backwards" from the Eclipse 420a, with the exhaust on the firewall and the intake towards the front of the car. Good thing we're here to keep you in line! haha j/k

That's what I was thinking, but it sounds like we got it straightened out.
