1990 Suburban blows fuse when key turned

The Suburban is my daughter's and she lives 120 miles away so I can't go look at it very easily. Whenever she turns the key to start it, a fuse blows. That's about all she can tell me. It was running fine and started doing this all at once. Could it be a battery problem? Where should she start?
