wrong tire size problems

I got this 2000 Marquis with original 17" rims. The new tires say, "mount only on 16" rims"! I'm driving this thing and the tires could blow-up!? Previous owner got shafted. Now me. That could explain slow deflation and bumpety-bump feeling starting at 35mph. Any comments?

Re: wrong tire size problems

IF you have 17" wheels, buy 17" tires.

Re: wrong tire size problems

If your car has 16" tires on it, they are on 16" rims.
