Re: Sway Bar
Welcome to AF!!
Common problem on these cars. You can purchase a new one and they are not hard to replace you just have to jack up the front end, both sides, remove the tires then the old one and replace it with a new one. I suggest checking gmpartsdirect.com for a performance handling kit. Usually very cost effective and will improve your handling. One thing before you begin your replacement make sure you get a new set of end links as your old ones will probably break when you try to remove them. |

Re: Sway Bar
check the tips and maintanance subforum. There is a detailed forum on how to replace it and i dont believe you have to drop the subforum.

Re: Sway Bar
Thanks for the help much appreciated. I only asked about the frame being dropped in the front because the dealer said you cant put it on without dropping the front.

Re: Sway Bar
The dealer is nuts. You may have to twist the bar around to get it in but it can be done. You don't have to drop anything other than disconnecting the end links and removing the sway bar mounts to get the old one out. Of course you need to remove the tires first! Follow Bob's instructional link and you won't have any problems.
