94 caprice lt1 350

i have a 94 chevy caprice classic and my car has a some kind of chip installed, and it wont start unless the chip is in. and i lost my chip is there any way to bypass the chip to get the car started? any advice is greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to the chip in the ignition key?

it's not the chip in the key, it is a small chip that is located on the bottom of the dash underneath the steering wheel. and in order for my car to start i have to insert the chip. and if the chip is not in the key still turns but it wont start.

Sounds like an aftermarket security system - see if you can disable it.

yeah i tried to disconnect it and it still would not start. it is crazy there has to be some way to bypass this thing.
