Question Whining Noise

My 05 Trailblazer has a whining noise when I start my car and when I step on the gas it gets a higher pitch. What could this be and my car is still under warranty so would this be covered?

Re: Whining Noise

if by still under warranty you mean under 36mo 36k miles then yes. could be anything from the already mentioned idler pullery to any other pulley, if under warranty, would get it in right away. best of luck!

Re: Whining Noise

Get it back in to your dealer and have open the hood and find out what is making the noise.
If it is the fan whine there may be some recalls or pcm updates on it.
Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck
