Re: secondary air injection malfunction??????

The DTC, (Diagnostic Trouble Code), will only tell what circuit malfunctioned. It does not tell you to change a sensor, only which circuit to check. What DTC was in memory?

Ask your local dealer to check for technical service belletins on your vehicle, they will probably come up with this one:

Bulletin Number: 40604015 Bulletin Date: 20040301 Category: 061000 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
Summary: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0410 SET. *TT

Re: secondary air injection malfunction??????

The dealer will advise you if your vehicle is covered. There may or may not be a charge to you. They will advise you before they do anything, if there will be a charge to you. The bulletin has to do with re-routing the lines and repairing the system, if necessary.

Re: secondary air injection malfunction??????

Check with the dealer, some bulletins are open ended, some have mileage restrictions and some have a date you must have the work done by. Not sure on this one.
