WIP: Customer's Loctite Zexel GT-R

Not much to look at yet, just shot it with Dupli-color Bright White. Will try and tackle these decals next.

Re: WIP: Customer's Loctite Zexel GT-R

Let's try this again...

This time with a single stage glossy enamel. And no Micro-sol.

You sure have a lot of unique customers.... Your customer is actually the owner of the 1:1 GT-R?

Did you shoot the paint from the can? I've found duplicolor's enamel line to be thick and difficult to work with. Hats off to you if you got it to work!!!

Hah, no, he's just a fan of the car I guess.

And no jm, this is an enamel from work, just a no-name kind of brand we carry. I often work with Dupli-color, but I had this handy so I tried it instead.

Re: WIP: Customer's Loctite Zexel GT-R

Coming along nicely enough now, assembly's about 90% done, just need to paint the front fascia with Tamiya Bright Red when I can get a can next, as I ran out. Decals went alright this time around, except for a couple of small white areas you can see in the pics from where it flaked away, despite my water-and-qtip efforts. I'll be cleaning those up with the Tamiya Bright Red as well.

Re: WIP: Customer's Loctite Zexel GT-R

Removed the nose piece to spray it in red, and also touched up the decals with a red Sharpie (colour was pretty much EXACTLY the same.)

Re: WIP: Customer's Loctite Zexel GT-R

Dear lord, there's a lot of decals on this thing. Final assembly pretty much complete except the little winglets, the headlights and the mirrors... Still got a good dozen minor decals to go, but I think it's turning out pretty well...
