need 89 probe help

my 89 probe overheated. now it won't start. everything turns over, has spark. ????? just won't start!!!!!
what is problem???

dont listen to him.
now, check your level on your antifreeze. if that is full, then you might need to just let it sit, because if you have tried to start it alot. the engine got flooded. let it sit over night, then the next morning try again. if it still doesnt start up, then change the oil because your gas got into your oil. when the oil is completely drained. dont add any in, just let it keep draining, as its doing that, try to start it, if it starts, shut if off right away, put the drain plug in and add oil. and off you go =D

there is no compression in the cylinders thats why it wont start been there done that pull the cylinder head off get it resurficed and get new gaskets put it all back together and zoom zoom ur off

Before we get carried away too far here, pull the spark plugs and see if any are wet with water. Then while the plugs are out, run a compression check. No cylinder should be under a 100 psi and no cylinder should be 15 psi lower than any other.

If plugs are wet with water or compression is very low, then you start thinking about pulling the head and replaceing the head gaskets, check heads for warpage/cracks and get back on the road.

If everything checked OK, then I would check for any codes. It is possible that overheting may have affected a sensor that was sensitive to heat and has now failed to send proper signals to the computer.

You didn't say what size engine you have or how savvy you were at being a mechanic. If you have a blown head gasket, you can expect to pay anywhere from $ 1000 to 1600 to have a garage fix it for you. If you need new cylinder heads, you can expect another $200 to 300 for a rebuilt one. If you get heads from a salvage yard, expect to pay $75 to 125 apiece and then you will also have to pay to have them checked for warpage/cracks. If you repair it yourself, expext to spend $200 to 300 for any parts, oil, filters, anti freeze etc.

If, after checking, you deem it cheaper to lose this car and get another, then you have made an "INFORMED DECISION"!!!
