1990 Town Car Digital Dash trouble & Speedometer
You can't see what is going on with the gauges, You see everyone of them. If you look at the dash from the side you can see everything the right way. How do I fix this?
Also the speedometer doesn't work it stays on 0. Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: 1990 Town Car Digital Dash trouble & Speedometer
Lots of folks with these kind of problems have had good luck pulling the Cluster out and cleaning the harness connections (ribbon cable) with a pencil eraser.
Other's have had to replace the Cluster.

Yes I agree with Steve, clean those contacts on the back of the cluster. On the spedo. not working. A lot of times that wire going to the speed sensor gets broken off or loose. Check that on the transmission. I had that problem with mine. The sensor was busted off and hanging from the wire. With it disconnected like that, it read 0 all the time. The speed sensor could be bad as well. I think I still have a few, if you need one let me know. All out of the digital clusters can't help you there. Good luck [email protected]
