Temperature Gage does not Register

I have a 94 Gradprix with approx. 100k miles. The temperature gage does not register. Is this a sensor somewhere gone bad? And if so, which one and where is it located?

Re: Temperature Gage does not Register

It would help if you gave us the size engine in your car since they are located in different places on different engines. But I would say that either the sensor is bad or the guage itself. Start with the sensor should be located on the intake manifold near where the thermostat housing is. But if you post the engine size we can provide better help.

Re: Temperature Gage does not Register

Your 94 has two temp sensors. One is for the ECM interface, and is located where GTP Dad stated near the t-stat housing. The other is for the gauge, and is in the rear cylinder head near cylinder #5 (drivers side). It will have a single 8" long green wire attached with a black plastic end connector. This applies to either the 3.1 or 3.4 engine.
