Where are the engine lift brackets?
I'm pulling the motor out of a spare 92 cherokee 4.0L I have to build a 4.7L stroker over the winter to see if I should do the same to my 99 sport DD. So I need to know where the engine lift brackets are? I looked in my jeep book and they don't say where they are. So does anyone know?

Re: Where are the engine lift brackets?
Engine lift brackets are plates you temporarily bolt to the engine to attach the chains from the lift. They are not part of the engine itself.
Others may suggest different mounting points, but it you remove the valve cover, you can piggy back the brackets off the cyl studs. Just use an extra set of nuts to lock down the brackets.
