1st gen headlights

ok...if ur not new to this forum, u know i think a lot...and most of the time its worthless. but i was thinking about the headlights on the first gen. now follow me on this...it's a lil complicated. if u r new...u probably will think wtf is this guy on...i want some.

ok, the lights pop up, but they are on like a gyro type thingy. i was thinking instead of doing a second/99 conversion on the front end involving everything else. what if the housing and corner light housing is removed. and a clear lense(like 2nd gen) was placed over it. cut the wires(or redo the wiring) so that the lights dont pop up at all. then u have projector headlights with the entire 1st gen front end. it might be a lil expensive, but unique, and probably cheaper than a conversion. what do all you think?

Yeah man its been done. Theres a huge thread on 3si talking about one guy who was making a bolt in set. they look similar to the FD3S RX7 projector conversions.

Re: 1st gen headlights

in a way it looks the same. but i wasnt thinking of putting the round lights in there. maybe just leave the sotkc ones. not allow them to flip up. and put a lense over it(kinda like the one in the pic.)

damn...i never go on 3si...it's confusing to me. i gotta think of something really complicated just so i know no1 has ever done it.

Re: 1st gen headlights

speaking of headlights, if anyone here has 99 lights they want to sell, can someone give out a price? 3sx wants an arm and a leg.
