I am looking at a '95 4Runner. The body is good (no rust) has brand new tires and most power options including the sunroof and cd player. Cloth interior is Ok, and it has 163K miles on it. The drawback is that the motor (3.0V6) is shot (crank is broke). Owner is asking $3000 for it.
What is this thing worth not running, and would it make sense to get a reman 3.0 for it, or could a person put a 22R in it instead? Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Re: Should I buy '95 4Runner?
$3K for a 13 yr old truck with a bad motor ?
Give him maybe $1K then put a new motor in.

Or get a '97 for only a little more with more power and a more reliable vehicle.
