2003 Toyota Tacoma whistel noise
I have a new 2003 Tacoma and at 40-50 MPH I get a whistling noice that
sounds like it is coming from the bottom of windshield or behind dask board. Using duct tape, I taped around hood, windshield, doors, sealed the complete vent by windshield wipers, and every hole I could find in fender wells and firewall. Nothing made any difference...still whistles at me. I took the blower motor out and can hear the noise in the duct work under the dash. Does anyone have this same problem and have any idea what it is? I know if I go to dealer they will say they can't reproduce the problem. They will say what noise... Please help this whistle is driving me nuts. Rick |

Your whisseling noise might be actually a squeek from a vibrating dash. A common problem on Taco's. You need to place a long piece of 3/16 hose in between the windshield and dash. Stuff it in with screwdriver. I'm not sure if I'm remembering the right hose size, what ever fits down in there. Former Toyota tech.

Is it vent register noise? I get some faint whisteling occasionally at high speeds from the fresh air pass through. Do you still get it with the Re-Circulate on and the fan off?
