2000 Silverado 6.0 Liter 2500 idle problems
Sometimes when starting requires pumping gas pedal.
Rough idle, rough takeoff. Once accelerated it runs fine. Been doing this for six months. Exhaust smells when idleing. We blocked the EGR valve and it's still doing it. Purchasing different fuel has no affect on performance. Any suggestions? Doing it myself location of parts would help also. Thank you. |

Re: 2000 Silverado 6.0 Liter 2500 idle problems
Hi I've been browsing the internet and have an idea of what it looks like. Could you tell me exactly where it's at under the hood or around/in the gas tank? Thanks for your time.

It is located on the driver side just before the Fuel Rail. When you buy the replacement you will know what to look for. It will only take about 2 mins to replace and only need a screwdriver or pair of pliers to remove the clamp holding it in.
