when i accelerate it makes a noise like a paper hitting a fan the more you accelerate the louder it gets.
i checked the engine and the problem is that there is a pipe that is not connected it is right in front of the engine, next to the gray cover. if anyone nows wat that metal pipe is called or how much u think is gonna cost i'll appreciate it a lot. thanks in advance ![]()

you better take a picture and update here..different engine different orietation..if have a picture make me easier to identify

that i believe is your egr pipe, cars really dont need it so if you can find a bolt to put into the hole on the exhaust manifold your car would actually run better.
but i dont know how much ford would charge to repair/replace it

yeah, that def. looks like the EGR. you will throw a code if it's unhooked/leaking. I'd go to a junkyard and pull one off another focus. Make sure you ask them if they hvae any with the SPI engine first.....
