"Do I really need it"? (Air filter question)
The air inlet pipe that runs across the front of the engine (the stock design), is it necessary? I removed it and can't see a use for it.

i took everything off so it ends right after the air filter box....i havent had any probs, and ive had it like that for over a year.

i took off everything on my stock intake, when i put on my aftermarket intake. i got no problems

no you don't need it, it serves more as a sound deadening process more than anything

what they said...I took off my front bumper and took out the resonator also...so I could put in my cold air intake.....

just a sound deadener, and helps cleaner/cooler air into your motor thru the filter and the air box.... CAI y passess all that anyway so you shouldnt have a prob...
