Instrument cluster change
I'm buying a 89 K3500. The present owner told me the odometer hasn't worked in this truck for many years, so I want to replace the instrument cluster. I was wondering if the newer style cluster like in my 92 is a direct fit for the 89. The only problem I can foresee is the gear selector indicator having an extra symbol for overdrive, which the 89 doesn't have. It's a 454 with TH400.
BTW, If I find one with a tach do I need to modify anything to get the tach working?
