96 aurora possible oil leak

I recently bought a 96 aurora with 89,000 miles it seems to run fine and starts right up. The problem is that the oil life percentage seems to drop at about a percent every 2 days. Is this normal? Also i have an aftermarket cd player with a seperate dvd player on top and the face around them seems to keep sliding out is there any way to secure the face to the dash? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 96 aurora possible oil leak

thats normal for the oil monitor if you are using it every day at that rate you will need an oil change in 6 months if it is new oil in it now....mine seems to move slower when i am using synthetic or when i use slick 50

Re: 96 aurora possible oil leak

I don't drive it every day, but if it's just telling me the quality of the oil then thats fine. I thought it was telling me how much oil was left, thanks for the input.
