2000 contour svt shift problem
i test drove a 2000 svt today, and one problem that concerns me is that when shifting into 3rd it makes an awful "rough engagement" sound. the owner said that he thinks its in the shifter itself but i would like to get another view on this. i dont think it would be the shifter but i didnt get a chance to get a closer look at it

3rd gear syncro. Common problem.

what would an estimate of how much that might cost for a transmission shop ro repair, thats a little out of my knowledge
