Hey guys... my torque converter is throwing a code (p0741). It will engage some of the time and sometimes it won't. I have read several posts that said a blown brake light could cause this... Is there any truth to this?
I hope so because I have a blown brake light (it works when the lights are on but goes out when I hit the brakes). If not, let me down easy if you know what the problem may be.

Re: Brake light causing tranny problems???
I wouldn't doubt it.. I had a trouble car in the dealer I work for with a cruise control concern... Well, to make a long story short, a blown brake light was causing the malfunction. In your case, this may be causing a slight malfunction of the TCC circuit.
