Cool 2001 S10 Won't start

its a s chevy 2001 s10 zr2 4.3L It started the other day just fine and i go to turn it over today and all the gauges fliped on and clicked on and off afew times really quick, didnt think anything of it turned it over and it shut down the elctrical system and i thought battery was died and i slaped the charger on it and turned it over and it clicked several times i taked the starter and it turned right over i let it idle for about 10 mintues and i jumped back in and droped it in gear it was idleing fine then stalled when i droped to gear and then i tryed to restart and it click clicked clicked and i taped the starter and nothing still clicking i just tryed to start it again , still clciking then it completely shut down and gauges down even turn on anymore and yes it is raining today SOMEBODY HELP!!!! runaround

How much voltage is the alternator putting out?

Hey

I have had the exact problem. Moisture has gotten into the distributor. Check for corrosion. Distibutor $30.00, rotor $13.00, and about a half hour to swap out. I found this out after kicking the habit of washing my engine all the time.
