1989 Formula Starting Problem Please Help

Hello,
I have a 1989 Formula 5.0 tpi. The problem I am having is that the car will start some times other times it will not and you either have to use starting fluid or sit and wait and keep trying. We have great fuel preasure, and spark and injector pulse when it starts and also when it just cranks over and does not start. has enyone else ever had this problem and hot can I fix it.

Thanks Paul

No codes and no lights. Starts some times on its own other times only cranks over. when it is in the cranking only mode we have spark, injector pulse & good fuel pressure. When in cranking no start mode if you spray some starting fluid down the trottle body it starts right up and runs.

Try unplugging the MAF and see if it fires up.

If you have to use starting fluid to get it going, then you don't have fuel, or enough fuel going into the cylinders.
If those are the stock injectors, they are on their last legs and are going to fail completely soon. The multec injectors used in the late 80's/early 90's were junk and not worth a plug nickel.
