Installing Transgo shift kit

Ok, i didnt get any response by reviving an old thread, im going to install a transgo shift kit in my 02 1500, anyone have any advice, thoughts, heads up, hints, tips, tricks, for this kit. I would like to know everything possible before i go tearing into it. My truck only has 57000 miles on it, my problem is hard shifts sometimes between 1-2 and sometimes 2-3, not all the time and not that hard, is it worth my time putting in the kit, or would it be worth while just changing the filter and fluid, thanks guys!
