Sending unit question

I have a 97 GT...Would a 98 GTP sending unit work on my car?? I have no if there is a difference or not. Please help!

No, the GTP uses a 2 stage fuel pump, and the GT does not. They are not interchangeable. Also, in 97, there is an early and late design for the GT which aren't interchangeable either. If the last 6 digits of your VIN are 238198 or higher, then you have the 2nd design. If they are 238197 or lower, you have the first design.

Thanks! One of the guys in my club just wrecked his 98 GTP and is selling all the parts. I got with a couple people and they told me the same thing. But the response is much appreciated
