Lightbulb P1259 code

My Odyssey did a "shudder" while driving on the freeway and the service engine light came on. When I was able to I went my local auto parts store and borrowed their code reader (for Free). The code of P1259 came up.

Doing a number of web searches, I came up with a hint to check my oil.

It was nearly empty. Looking for leaks I saw the area around the oil filter was all oily messy. Wiped it off and discovered my oil filter was loose.

I tightened it up, refilled the oil and a couple days later the code went away.

I had noticed some oil spots in my driveway but thought they were from the back hoe that had been used and parked there. If it weren't for the hoe, I would have looked to my auto for the leak sooner.

Note to self..any drips in driveway - check the car even if others had been parked there.
