Can someone help me!

Aright, the other day, it was raining pretty hard. So, I turn on my winshield wipers. So, when I go to turn them off, they don't shut off! I have four settings, intermittent, slow, faster, fastest. I had em at the slow setting. and when I turn them to the faster and fastest setting, they go to the those settings setting, when I turn on the intermittenment setting, they are stll goin in the slower setting, and when I shut em off, they are still in the slower setting. Finally, I pulled out the harness plugged in the steering column and cut the wire that fed power to the faster setting. Now I have no intermittent, and no faster setting. the fastest and faster settings still works though. can anyone tell me what's goin on?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!

Without sounding too mean. You took a bad situation and made it worse.

well I can re-conect the wire whenever. I just cut it because the wipers were on ALL THE TIME.

The brain-box lost its mind, perhaps???
What it sounds like to me is that somewhere wires got crossed, constantly supplying power to one of the lines powering your wipers. I really dont know, though.

Perhaps there is a ratcheting mechanism in the steering column which allows the wiper to function. If that were to get stuck on, then the wipers would be on. Perhaps you should remove the casing and take a look. Or not, cuz' I'm not to sure about that.

Well that's where I cut the wire from. everything looked fine from there. I think it maybe the switch that operates the wipers, but I don't know how to go about checking that

Try a mechanic for a free idea as to what might be wrong. Also, e-mail the company.
