Re: Worlds most expensive scotches!

I love a good scotch, I had a double of the Glenfiddich 12 year Single Malt as a night cap last night but those prices are rediculous!! I can't imagine paying that much for anything - even if I could afford it.

Re: Worlds most expensive scotches!

I am not a huge an of scotch but if I do I will usually have Glenfiddich 12 year or on occasion some Glenlivet 12 year. And the main reason I drink those is because when I do drink scotch it is with family and someone else brought it along.

NO drink is worth 1000's of dollars (or insert monetary unit equivalent here).

And yes, I've had a good Scotch.

Re: Worlds most expensive scotches!

Wow thats nuts!. I have had good scotch before but im not a huge fan. The most I ever spent on a bottle of liquor was about $60 (I think) for some patron. I think I will stick to my old faithful George Dickel no. 12 for a cool $18.99

Re: Worlds most expensive scotches!

I take care of the computers and POS systems in the hospitality industry at places in Sun Valley, Idaho where these kind of prices are common. At first I was astonished when a table of four for dinner would run a $2,000+ wine tab, so I asked my cousin who was a server up there and she confirmed that it was common and then bragged that she always got at least a 20% tip or more. The newly rich guys show off with a game of one upmanship when ordering and tipping too, and the servers always hope for one of those parties at their table.

Police: Mom Fed Infant Whiskey In Baby Bottle
Woman Faces 3 Charges

POSTED: 11:43 am EDT October 24, 2007
UPDATED: 11:49 am EDT October 24, 2007

INDIANAPOLIS -- A mother was arrested after giving her 4-month-old girl whiskey in her bottle, police said.

Indianapolis Metro police said Mary Scaggs, 28, faces two counts of neglect of a dependent and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police were called to Methodist Hospital Saturday by a social worker there. Officials said a test revealed that the child had a blood-alcohol level of 0.048.

Investigators said Scaggs told the hospital that she had put whiskey on the girl's gums because she was teething.

Police later determined that Scaggs had put whiskey in the girl's bottle, mixed with formula to try to get her to stop crying.
