Re: 94 Lesabre Fuel Pressure Regulator

It sits on top of the engine, on the fuel rail (hard, usually black, u-shaped line) on the side toward the back of the car, near where the 2 fuel lines connect. It will have a rubber vacuum hose going into the top of it.

Testing it really requires a fuel pressure gauge, fuel shutoff hose adapters, a vacuum gauge and a hand vacuum pump. Fortunately, I think pressure regulators rarely give problems.

What is the car doing? This site below does not list the fuel pressure regulator as a problem area for the 94 Lesabre, but it does for the 97 (the year I have). I am looking at possibly replacing one very soon to fix a dying problem (no codes). I priced one yesterday. It will be about $56.

Are you sure it's the regulator in your case? I would definitely check for spark before I went replacing other parts. I've had a few problems that cut spark.
