WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

Anyone know where to pick up the bypass air duct for the where the A/C Evaporator goes? Right now Im just gonna use the empty Evap box I have, but would like to end up replacing it with the air duct. Seems finding a car without a/c is rather difficult, atleast around here.

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

Hrm... you have a z6 motor?

Too bad it costs so much to ship those.. otherwise, I might have wanted one.. but if I'm going to pay that much to ship a motor, I'm just going to go with the DOHC ZC.. and stick with my original plan....

If I ever get another honda, I'm def going w/ LS-Vtec tho.

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

Well only 1 of them runs decent, the other that runs, its rings are shot, and the third one is in pieces(was the first one I bought and started to rebuild, never finished)

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

That's the way I usually end them up... half rebuilt, or nothing at all, but still in pieces.

BTW, This is a really dumb question... but is $100 a good price for a running B18A1? It throws a lil smoke, but nothing bad, think it's the valve seals.

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

It's about 15 mins from me... can I use a B18A1 block for the LS/Vtec motor? I seem to have lost my LS/Vtec thread shortcut.. after having reinstalled windows (And built/rebuilt my computer... or other computers) a thousand times, I've lost pretty much everything personal :O

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

ROFL.. gimme a couple weeks, I have to make a yard run anyway, I'll see what I can find ya.. only cost ya shipping, since I'll pry get it for free. What year car are you looking?

Oh, might be getting a CX D15B8 motor for free... dunno what I'm gonna do w/ it. less than 60k On it, guy totaled the car, and is giving away the motor.

Pry end up taking off anything useful and selling it in pieces to other guys' w/ stockers.

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

Well mine is a 91, don't know if the year ranges are different in that area. Good luck finding one, every car I saw in the junk yard around here has A/C

Re: WTB: A/C Bypass Air Duct

I'll look for something 90 or 91, although 88 and 89 should fit it too... and no, Honda generations are based on honda's production line.. not the area they're sold in... same as any other car dealer except Noble :P
