Re: 6 bolt mods

Yep, It'd work. Most if not all intercoolers are universal, and can be fitted to just about any car. I'd say most of the aftermarket parts would be able to transfer over.

Re: 6 bolt mods

I thought most stuff I could buy for my 7 bolt would be good for my 6 bolt that I am going to swap to. but is there anything that you know that would not work?
I assume that the tranny would be fine as well.
thanks

Re: 6 bolt mods

You mean bolting up the 7-bolt tranny to the 6-bolt?

Re: 6 bolt mods

Intake manifold. The runners are larger on the 6 bolt than on the 2g 7 bolt. So if you were going to buy a SMIM, you might want to wait on that. What year TSI are we talking about here?

Re: 6 bolt mods

You can bolt up the 7 bolt tranny to the 6 bolt motor to drop into any 2g and it will work fine. 6 bolts and 7 bolts have a lot of parts that are slightly different and cannot be interchanged. Of course any bolt on parts are interchangeable between motors. (Turbos, intercoolers, exhaust manifolds, piping, fuel injectors, etc...)
