transmission swap

anyone of the top of their head know about how mush it would cost to swap an automatic trans for a manual trans in a 2001 dodge ram 2500 cummins turbo diesel.

Re: transmission swap

It would cost plenty unless you had a doner truck for parts. Also if you can do the labour yourself would save money. I have always heard if you want a standard tranny the cheapest way would be to sell yours and buy one with a standard in it.

It's been discussed for several makes; cheaper to just buy the model with the trans you want already in.

But it's possible....depending on how much you have/want to spend.
