Hello! New owner

Just got handed a 1995 Skylark limited 3.1 liter with 165000 miles and still pushing strong.

Car on the outside has been pumbled by hail and is by far the worst hail damage i've ever seen. No big deal, car drives great!!!

Yesterday, i drove back from work and turned on the defroster and the Volts light went on. Battery voltage dropped from 14 to 11.5. Bought an alternator online and will be replacing it this week. Can anyone help out with instructions??

Thanks -Max-

Mine had a problem with the voltage dropping more than once since I've had it the past 7 years. This time I replaced the alternator, the battery and the spark plg wires all at once.

Also, the PCV pipe may have a leak in it and for some reason, it's pricey to fix.

You should go to Amazon for a Chilton's or Hayne's repair manual for these years.

Finally, watch out for water leaking into the passenger compartment on the right front side near the firewall. I tried to seal up that thing and it just won't do it. What I do now is put a towel behind the cushioning where the carpet meets the firewall.
