Impreza facelift
Finally... they've seen sense and facelifted what was quite possibly the ugliest car in the world!!
 those front lights are ridiculous, the car looks like a caricature of what a fast car should look like  what a horrible, horrible rear wing!! again the caricature point... the rear lights are improved though... lets be truthful, its still not much of a looker is it?  stupid subaru b*stards

Personally I think it is a big improvement. The headlights look a whole lot better. The rear wing will probably not be on the normal WRX but I think that wing is for the STI, and it is pretty much the same wing as the current STI has.
I think Subaru has made a change for the better. It looks more aggressive and sporty. As far as looks go the Lancer peaked with the Evo 5 and since then the looks have gotten continusouly tamer. I am glad to see that Subaru did not come back with a tamer looking version of the WRX.

IMHO that facelift on the head lights looks crap i liked the whole bug eyed look but the best was definately the late 90's but the new heads are uglay. new tails are alright but im just fine with the subbie we got right now and from what i hear since it sells good in the US we are keeping the style we have now. as for the evo 7 i think it looks great. a little more class with the aggressive edge still in the drivers seat (no pun intended)

I agree. The GC/GF looked the hottest, then the bug eye GDA/GDB, then this.. this isn't really much of an improvement. The headlights look ok but the whole front isn't as agressive as the last one. The interiors alot nicer though

In fact, i think it screams "supa-huyndaaaaiiiii!" in a crazy japanese voice... at least the rear wing isnt standard, as u say...

I just got that 04' impreza WRX with a face lift. Its got a bigger hood scoop then last year and it also has new seats, so nice.

What do you guys expect of one of the best rally cars out there. Alot of people find the Porsche 911 style to be ugly as hell as well, but again, function before fashion. And I'm sure that large rear wing is doing more than just some aftermarket bi-level carbon fiber wing that someone is gonna put on their Honda. And of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how much it sucks
 chris edit: and I'd vote the ugliest car in the world to be the Lancia Delta S4 which as everyone knows was tuned by Abarth  But its still my all time dream car.

i like the headlights alot more than the ugly neon-looking round ones. only question is why a 4 door? the 2.5RS was the best chassis, if it had the turbo engine with the 6spd it would burn the STI

Actually the newer GDA/GDB chassis is the better chassis. Subaru engineers made it more rigid and it led to better handling. The facelift is just an exterior touch-up as the the chassis is still GD_

by better i mean lighter and 2-door (as all sports cars should be), with some work i would still take it over the newer one. i like the new AWD system though, the STI does kick ass

Did you guys never get 2 door WRX's over there???
the current shape looks a lot like the RSK legacy from the front.... The last two models have only been 4 doors, but prior there were coupes. Why does it matter tho, I'm still yet to see an Evo coupe. I personally believe that the 97-98 (version 6) model is the best looking....

damn you guys got 2-doors? they only kind Ive seen are sedans, except for the old RS, if you guys have the '04 STI in 2 door im gona be pissed
 . as far as looks i dont think it makes a big difference but i would gladly go to the extra effort of folding the seats to get in the back for the decrease in weight / increase in rigidity.
