7th Gen Awd Celica rim problem.. need help

sup guys, what the title says. the rims are sticking out and the rims are in all the way. im hoping i dont have to make a wide body kit for it. any suggestions?

the chassis and suspension are all from the gt-four and the body is from a the newer celicas.

There seems to be spacers between the brake and the "A-arm" I think its called. If you can find a way to remove the spacer, perhaps that could be your problem. IMO, its difficult to make a wide body look good on these cars.

is the wheel a male or female (does it have a pin, or a hole)? if it's the kind with a pin, you'll need to modify your spindle and take out that section between the brake rotor, and spindle. If it's a female wheel, you can remove some or all of the material from the inside of the wheel that the poly caps plug into. this will keep the brakes out towards the rim, and not have them sunk in so far.

there are no spacers, and the rim used to be female but i removed all material to make it flat in the inside..

remove this section then, it's your only hope to be able to use those wheels.

I agree with Ken, the caliper should sit closer to the A-arm, cut away that extra plastic...

Using the chassis from a different Celica will, as you've found, cause all sorts of fitment problems. The only way you'll be able to tuck any set of wheels under the car's fenders will be to remove the plastic between the rotor and the hub, just as indicated in the picture above. You may still have to remove some material from the front face of the rotor, the back of the wheel, or even the hub in order to make the wheels fit just right. Unfortunately, models aren't Legos, so there will be lots and lots of cutting, fitting, cutting more, fitting more, and yet more cutting and fitting before everything lines up correctly. thanks rsx, i thought about that too after i last posted. so i did it and now it fits except for the rear rims w/tires.. it is hitting the shocks already making it camber a little. ill post pics when im done guys.. thaks for all your help.
