Water Dripping from Passenger Side
I haven't had much time to even look at it yet, but here goes - maybe the listers have seen this one. Got in my Rodeo ('98, 160,000 miles) after being gone for the whole week; inside cabin smelled like mildew and then I noticed water dripping from under the passenger side dash. I'm sure there is some kind of drain tube, etc to clean? What have you guys done in the past? Thanks in advance!

Re: Water Dripping from Passenger Side
The heater core is there.
From what I understand it is a long job time wise to replace so it is pretty expensive. If it is the heater core you could ask pour some stop leak into the radiator.

Re: Water Dripping from Passenger Side
Is the water coolant colored or is it clear?
If it is coolant then it is the heater core or pipes as amigo-2k said ^. If it is clear it is possibly a blocked air-conditioner (A/C) evaporator core drain pipe. Or, if clear it could also be rainwater getting in. Last edited by boritz; 10-21-2007 at 01:53 AM. |

Re: Water Dripping from Passenger Side
It is clear - and doesn't smell like coolant; I only see it after running the A/C continuously for atleast 30 mins or more. That is kinda why I"m leaning towards a blocked drain somewhere. I'll have to dig around tomorrow and see what I can find.

Re: Water Dripping from Passenger Side
Passenger side firewall. Crawl under there and clean the drain out.
