gear ratio help

can anyone tell me the gear ratio for the ring and pinion gear in the rear axel on my 77 monte carlo

No, there a different ratios. There are several ways to check this, tag on the diff? how many turns of the dr shaft to turn the wheels one revolution is another.

Gear ratio is stamped on the ring gear.
Or you can count the ring gear and pinion teeth and get the old calculator and divide ring gear by pinion teeth and figure it out.
Or post back the number of ring gear and pinion teeth.

If you only jack up one wheel and turn it, then you need to turn that wheel -twice-, and count the number of turns the driveshaft makes. If the wheel is turned twice, and the driveshaft turns 3 and 3/4 times, then the ratio is about 3.73. If both wheels are turning, then they only need to make one turn each.
