Check engine light after Oil change

I have a 1993 pickup 22RE, i've notice with the last couple of oil changes that when I change my oil and filter, after a couple of miles my check engine light turns on. After about a day of driving the light then automaticly goes away. Havent had time to get the code checked out because of it going away. I use 10-30 oil with fram filter.. Am I suppose to be using a different grade oil?

It depends on the miles on the car. If it is high milage car. used 10-40. Also buy gunk motor flush to clean that engine. I perffer syenthic oil. High milage type.
