How to clean a Head light lens

I have a 97 Mark VIII LSC. My driver's side headlight is somewhat glazed over and discolored. Does anyone know any tricks to clean the lens?

you can use 1500 wet/dry with alot of soapy water...followed by 2000 grit wet dry.

then buff with a finishing compound (like 3M finesse it II) and topped with a quality plastic polish.
