01 A/C problem HELP!!!

Alright here's the deal... For some reason, my 01 4.0 is not blowing cold air. It was working perfectly fine until the other day. I got in it to leave for work and the a.c wouldn't blow cold. What could be the problem? The compressor may have gone out but it never gave me any warning signs. It doesn't turn on when I press the a/c button on and off. Any clues? Any ideas as to what else it could be?

Does the blower work at all? It may be the heat/cool resistor module. Failure of the resistor module is fairly common.

Thanks for the replys guys. Yes the blower is working fine. It blows air perfectly fine, but the compressor doesn't seem to be cutting on. I can turn the a/c on and off and nothing happens. Usually it would kick on and off but not anymore.

The first thing I would do is check the pressure in the system. The compressor will not come on if their is not enough freon in the system. Most likley you have a leak or a blown compressor.
