So, here I am again, was able to spraypaint the body yesterday.

Looks quite good enough to me

hope you can post a better pic of the finished shell, the finish looks good though. I'll add you to the list too. Keep the updates coming.

Well I doubt, my camera is just limited to that kind of quality.
Hopefully I can get better pics with another one, I have just to find anyone who will lend me his/hers

Re: Richard Burns Subaru 2001 Tribute Build

OK, after quite a long break in modeling I have continued with the Subaru.

Finished with step 1 in the manual.
I think (and hope) that updates will come more regularly from now on

Re: Richard Burns Subaru 2001 Tribute Build

I have now finished the front suspension, put some black packs under the car (fuel tank, extra weight, what are these?), and I painted the rear suspension. Click on images for larger versions.

Re: Richard Burns Subaru 2001 Tribute Build

This is a nice little kit, and you are doing some good work on it. If I could offer one bit of advice... Be very careful when you put the rear lights in the bodywork. They are designed to be a tight fit, so after a few layers of paint they are a very tight fit. First time I tried I chipped some paint on the bodywark getting them in. Since then I sand down the edges of the tail-light pieces and that seem to work well.

More updates soon!!

Thank you very much for that advise, I will keep that in mind
I think I will be able to continue in a few days, perhaps at weekend, but not sure.

Looking good, with ref to your photos, try putting the model on some white card, then take the photos, it reflects the light and shows the detail up better.

And some progress, finished the rear suspension, fitted the exhaust and painted some parts for the interior.

Re: Richard Burns Subaru 2001 Tribute Build

Very nice. For some sad reason I really like the look of the flat white exhaust against the mica blue chassis. The interior is looking good too.

Re: Richard Burns Subaru 2001 Tribute Build

Now the updates come quicker
I have finished the dash, fitted in the front grilles and windows and the helmets only need the oval stickers.
As always you can get bigger pictures with a click on them
