Problem starting

I have a 1993 S15 Jimmy 4.3L Vortec. About a minute into my drive the engine cut out. There was no hesitation or sputtering. All the electronics were still on. Pulled over and could not get it started. It cranks but no spark at the ignition coil. I replaced the coil but still no spark. I was thinking it might be the ignition relay. Does anyone know where it is located on my vehicle or have any other ideas?

Re: Problem starting

Sounds like the fuel pump went out. Do a search on this board for "1993 fuel pump". Keep in mind when checking the fuel pump pressure the spec's and procedure for the 1994 and older are different from 1995 and newer.

Re: Problem starting

I replaced the fuel pump and injectors about 6 months ago. I double checked the fuel pressure and its 58 psi. I think its electrical. There is no voltage out of the ignition coil. I replaced the ignition coil and still nothing. I have 12 volts on one of the two connectors going into the coil. Do you know what else is ahead of the coil? Maybe a Fuse or relay in the engine compartment?

Re: Problem starting

I figured out what the problem was. The ignition module was bad. Installed a new one and started right up.
