M. Park Mexico 2004 Tribute Build

Hi to all!

I'll make the Rally Mexico 2004 winner Ford Focus of Martin/Park. This will be my entry for the Tribute build. Great idea SeanyG!

I had the privilege of saw those two winning the rally first hand and when I saw Hasegawa making the Finland winner I jumped to get two of them so I can make both Ford entries. Good for me that the 2004 car raced on Mexico was the last rally for the 2003 car.

This will be the aftermarket things used. Renassaince PE by the way.

I took a chance on making my own decals for the event. They are lasser printed. Not bad at all, it's a shame I haven't changed the toners on my machine in a while though. That kind of money only goes for something like... modeling

I'll use the correct rear wing sponsors from the Duval conversion set by Renassaince it's great to see that they included two sets of recaro white decals and two extra white Puma decals for me to use.

Now to the hard work of making the correct rollcage for the 2003 car, Hasegawa take the easy route by providing a wrong one. Still in progress...

Of course I had to make "some" adjustments to the dashboard to acommodate the new rollcage. Not very close to reality but they don't have 1 inch glasses on 1/1 do they?

This is how it looks with the body on. It sure is a huge task to make such a complicated rollcage but IMHO it's worthed.

That's all for now...

As always pics on my fotki and C&Q's welcomed.

Re: M. Park Mexico 2004 Tribute Build

great start Rodrigo, I'll add the link to your WIP in the tribute thread. I love the decals too - great effort. I've just bought an Alps and Im going to give DIY decals a try myself soon.

The rool cage looks impressive and very intricate too, you must have the patience of a saint!

Definately a thread to watch!
