Ring Replacement.. Doc you SOB!!!!

WOW!!!!!!! What a great article. Very detailed. Doc, I was 20 minutes late for work because I climbed right into the computer reading the entire article. Wow great work. To see it actually done is amazing! Now I'm that much more confident to do mine when the time comes. Thanks a million. Need some more great tutorials like that one. Way to go!

Doc has provided us metroites with a great wealth of well documented walk-through experiences. Glad you found your way to the forum! We look forward to assisting you with your metroean endeavors.

Gotta change metroites - I keep reading it meteorites

But metroean...that's a keeper!

Yeah, Doc definitely helped me out with his documentation last year when I had to replace a piston - the pics were so much better than I could get in the Chilton's manual it made finding things and understanding the steps MUCH easier. I'm hoping to return the favor as soon as I have more time, although my documentation won't be nearly as good as his.

Re: Ring Replacement.. Doc you SOB!!!!

I thought from your Subject title that something went wrong!

Of course, "SOB" means "Sweet Old Boy..." - yes?

As to a name for us....

I think that what you meant to call yourself and all of us is

METRODIANS

or perhaps

METROGLODITES....

In any case - good luck to you...

Mine is losing power now in the winter cold...down to 45 mpg and can't go up
hills in 5th w/o hitting the firewall with the gas pedal - have to downshift.

I have 17,000 on the new rings and head.

The oil looks UNUSED at 3,000 miles! Used to be jet black by then.
