Car Stats: 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT v6
For the past couple of days my car has been hesitating when i press the gas. After the slight hesitation it accelerates, then sometimes hesitates again, or doesnt accelerate like usual. Also when i try and floor it, the engine reves up high, but it doesnt accelerate like it usually would. I am not sure if its the transmission fluid, because i cant check it. its in a sealed compartment. or maybe the fuel pump is going out. any suggestions?

Re: 02 Pontiac Hesitating
Welcome to AF!!
Based on your description it sounds like you have a transmission issue. Possibly low fluid or it could be an internal problem. Take the car to a transmission shop and have them check it for you. |

Re: 02 Pontiac Hesitating
All you need is an O2 sensor wrench and hand tools. There should be one on the downpipe in back of the engine and one after the cat.
