I have a 2000 Chevy Suburban 5.3L 4x4 with 110,000 miles on it.
When I push the button to put the car in "2 HI," the car will not move. The car stays still when I hit the gas and makes a loud grinding sound. When I put it in "4 HI," the car drives fine without any unusual sounds. It doesn't make sense that the 2WD doesn't work but the 4WD works fine. Anyone know what this could be? I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks. |

Re: 2000 Suburban 4 wheel drive problem
Hmmmm. I am not sure but how about the switching motor (what ever it is called) that sits on the transfer case that recieves the signal from the switch on the dash is broken or out of adjustment.
My switch went out once, off to the dealer and they fixed me right up.
