mr2? turbo? a few basic questions

for a while i was thinkin of getting a 240sx because its good in the turns and there is a easy engine swap (sr20det) that would give enough power. Then i learned the swap was illigal and would not pass emmisions without paying people off. So then i though of a mr2 and i think they do good in the turns right? and the turbo mr2 has decent power. i am thinking of getting a 91-95 - i think there 2nd gen- mr2 does anyone have any basic info on the car? 1/4 mile times 0 - 60 or any easy legal swaps? is it rwd? (i hope so if not its back to the 240) thanks for any help or any sites with info
