Blazer steering shaft
Hey, i'm in the process of pulling my heads on my 95 blazer w/vortec and would LOVE to have that damn steering shaft out of the way... anyone know how to do this? Also, anybody know how to remove the power steering pump? Or where to get the correct puller for the pulley?

Re: Blazer steering shaft
11mm bolt just below the rag joint needs to be removed. Then use a big screwdriver to separate the joint from the splined steering gear box shaft. DO NOT turn the steering wheel after you disconnect the joint or the clock spring in the steering wheel will will be damaged.
Autozone and Advance rent, (loan with option to buy) a puller to remove the pulley. After the pulley has been removed, the pump can be removed. |
